Frequently Asked Questions
APPLICATION PROCESS
Q: When is the deadline for applications?
Even though it is encouraged for students to start in September, we offer 3 intakes during the academic year. In September, December, and March.
Our recommended application dates are as follows:
- September intake (trimester I): June 30
- December intake (trimester II): September 30
- March intake (trimester III): December 31
Students must take in consideration that the application process takes time, as well as the application for visa and permit, travelling and housing settlements. You can find more specific information here.
Q: How much is the application fee?
The application fee is 200 CHF (Swiss Francs) for all the students applying for GSD. Please note that the application fee is NOT refundable.
Q: How should I pay my application fee?
If you are applying from outside of Switzerland, the best way to proceed with the payment of your application fee is through an international transfer. Applicants applying via paper should either send the total amount in cash, in Swiss Francs, or make an international transfer. You should attach the payment receipt to your application dossier as a proof.
Q: Can I request a waiver of the application fee?
All applicants must pay the application fee; no student can be granted a fee waiver.
Q: How do I know if my application was received?
Since you will be applying by mail, please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery of the admission letter, sometimes longer for international mail. You may always contact us whenever you have any question.
