Prof. Nébo Dimitrijevic
From 1990 Mr. Nébo Dimitrijevic resides in Geneva, first as a diplomat, and then as the legal advisor at the United Nations and the Founder and Principal of the NBD Consulting Services, at the World Trade Center in Geneva. He teaches in international politics and diplomacy, foreign policy of major powers, history of the West and of the Atlantic Community, including the politics in traditional societies. During mid-1990s, he also lectured in contemporary international politics at the Webster University in Geneva. He often provides research papers and reflections on current international affairs for higher education needs, and as consultancy assignments. He also acts as the international development advisor to the President of the WTC Geneva, and as the Affiliate Representative of the WTCA to the United Nations Office at Geneva. He is also the associate member of the Geneva Forum for International Affairs. During his long career as a diplomat in Iraq and in the United Nations in New York and in Geneva, and as the United Nations appointed lawyer, he specialized in research and risk analysis, international management, post-conflict solutions and international compensation schemes. As a senior diplomat he covered the work of various United Nations bodies and acted as the Head of the Foreign Minister’s Office and the Deputy Representative to the Conference on Disarmament at the United Nations Office in Geneva. During 1990s and after, he worked as the United Nations appointed consultant and legal advisor at the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research and the United Nations Compensation Commission, the temporary body created by the Security Council after the Gulf War. He holds the law degree and the post-graduate degree in international studies of the University of Belgrade, and the post-graduate Certificate in Strategic and Security Studies of the Geneva Graduate Institute of International Studies and Development. |
