Geneva School of Diplomacy signs agreement with Moscow State Institute of International Relations12th November 2009On 5 November 2009 the Geneva School of Diplomacy signed an Agreement of cooperation with the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
The Rector, Professor Anatoly V. Torkunov, accompanied by the Russian Ambassador to Geneva, Ambassador Valeri Loschinin, visited Geneva School of Diplomacy for the signing of the agreement. The aim of the agreement is to establish cooperation between the two universities and in so doing contributing to the further development and strengthening of traditional relations of friendship between Switzerland and Russia. The MSI has been in existence for 65 years and will cooperate with Geneva School of Diplomacy in the mutual exchange of delegations and individuals with the aim of sharing information and experience, as well as the exchange of experts, scholars, staff and students, academic literature, publications and other materials. Under this agreement, GSD courses will be accredited by the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the MFA of Russia as of 2010. They will also promote joint research programmes and hold joint symposiums and conferences. |
