The Executive Master of International Relations (EMIR)
The Executive Master’s in International Relations (EMIR) is designed for busy professionals from both the public and private sector who seek to earn a graduate degree in International Relations while working full-time. The programme is challenging but stimulating and practical. Taking classes only on Saturdays, an EMIR student can complete the necessary classes in as little as eighteen months. All Executive Master’s courses are conducted on Saturdays at the beautiful Château de Penthes in Pregny/Geneva. After successful completion of five trimesters consisting of four, one-and-one-half hour courses each, the candidate undertakes a research period resulting in a 75 page thesis. Upon successful defense of the thesis before a faculty panel, the candidate is awarded the EMIR degree. Experience also shows that a special kind of camaraderie seems to develop among EMIR students – helping them to go the full distance, usually with family support.
Requirements: Start with any term possible, three intakes: September, December, or March. |
